CAMILLA MOUNT’S GUIDE TO HONG KONG
CAMILLA MOUNT’S HONG KONG TAKE ON WHERE TO….
…Go for a vibey dinner
Mott 32! Who can say no to Peking duck pancakes?
…Get a killer cup of coffee
I don’t drink coffee (shocking I know!) But I love the tea selection at Teakha and my absolute favourite is their Roselle Mint Tea. Oh! And while you’re there, grab a fig scone too.
…Get a cheap and cheerful lunch
Tim Ho Wan for the cheapest Michelin starred dim sum. The baked BBQ pork buns are delish!
…Stock up on fresh produce
Graham Street Wet Market, one of the oldest remaining outdoor markets where you can pick up fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat.
…Go for drinks
Former antique shop turned 1930s Parisian style bar, Feather Boa for a fresh strawberry daiquiri! The rim of the glass is covered in chocolate powder so don’t be afraid to lick the whole thing!
…Do absolutely nothing
Hop onboard the Aqua Luna junk boat for a sunset cruise around Victoria Harbour with a drink in hand.
…Go exploring
Escape the concrete jungle and hike to Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung and laze on the sand until sundown then take a boat straight from the beach to Sai Kung town for seafood dinner along the pier.
…Pick up a good vintage find
Reverie-A Girl Can Dream in Central.
…Go antique shopping
Cat Street and Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan.
…Go for rooftop drinks
There are the usual culprits; Aqua, Sevva and Ozone (the highest bar in Asia) but I like the laid-back feel of Sugar at East Hotel for a different perspective of the Hong Kong skyline.
…Go for a good time
Boozy all-you-can-eat brunch at Zuma on the weekend!
…Go for some R&R
There are plenty of spa’s that won’t break the bank but if you really want to treat yourself go to The Oriental Spa at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.
The one place you have to visit before you leave is?!
The Peak! Take the tram up for best views of the city.
