DIY “FUSS-FREE” FLOWER ARRANGING
Where to start when choosing a floral arrangement or bouquet for your wedding?
For me, it all comes down to the personality of the Bride and Groom. If you are a little quirky, untraditional and fun-loving, then go for something unstructured as that would be your perfect style.
If you’re a ‘high-end’ kind of girl, who enjoys the finer things in life then perhaps something a little more grand would suit. Think lush, structured, formal and classic.
You want your flowers to represent who you are so there is no point playing around with other theme’s or styles because it will make you feel uncomfortable on the day.
What colour trends and flower trends are you seeing and loving at the moment?
Brides are leaning more towards the fun loose style of bouquet over something more structured and formal, which is why garden-style weddings have become increasingly popular and have continued to be on trend for some time now. This style uses a range of different types of flowers such as Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Hydrangeas, Peonies, Lisianthius, and Daisies, which tend to be blended with lots of greenery including Fern, Jasmine, Fig branch and Ivy.
This type of bouquet normally has a loose free-flowing, unstructured style to it offering a modern twist and is simply stunning.
Your top ten flowers for bouquets and floral arrangments?
My top 10 flowers and foliages to use for bouquets at the moment are: Sweet Pea, Ranunculus, Peony, Lisianthius, Claire Garden rose, David Austin Rose, Dahlia, Fig, hanging Amaranthus and Pepper Foliage.
