YOUR WINTER BEAUTY LOOK SORTED: FLAWLESS FACES, LOTS OF LASHES AND BERRY LIPS
We are sorry, but it is officially time to bring out the winter foundation. Having a face 3 times darker than your body is not a good look. Embrace your paler complexion by first focussing on perfecting your skin… not your foundation base but your base base. Makeup will go on smoother and you will look just glowier in general. If you are not into sheet masks already, we recommend jumping on this bandwagon ASAP. We love Estee Lauder’s Advance Night Repair masks for a hydration boost – this genius mask also plumps fine lines and even’s out your skin tone.
Once your complexion is smooth, hydrated and glowing it’s time for foundation. As skin usually gets drier in Autumn and Winter opt for something a little bit lighter such as a tinted moisturiser or medium coverage foundation. We love Lauren Mercier’s illuminating tinted moisturiser or Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for a hydrated base with just the right amount of coverage and glow.
Late Nights/ early mornings – too many drinks last night? Grab a peach toned concealer to cover those bags and go over the top with cult favourite YSL Touche Eclat to brighten under those eyes.
Want a little bit of warmth to the skin? (We know that the snow complexion isn’t for all of us..) Take a light cream bronzer such as Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel and sparingly (Yes SPARINGLY – We are attempting to warm the skin not make it look like you’ve come back from a vacay in Europe) apply to the perimeters of your face: think hairline, temples, chin and jawline. Warm without being bronzed. That is the aim.
