EATING YOUR WAY THROUGH SYDNEY

BREWTOWN, NEWTOWN

Cronuts, cronuts and more cronuts. Did we mention there are cronuts? Nestled in a laneway off the main strip in trendy inner-city suburb Newtown, Brewtown is not to be missed for a Saturday morning coffee and sweet treat. It’s always packed, so get there early and enjoy one of their healthy breakfast options or feast on their famous cronuts. If you can’t snag a seat, get your coffee to go and wander King St for the people-watching and trendy boutiques.

HUGO’S MANLY

Located at one of the most picturesque spots in Sydney, Hugo’s Manly is a beautiful spot for a romantic dinner or a boozy weekend lunch. They serve amazing seafood, delicious pizzas and have a long list of cocktails, so wear stretchy pants and enjoy the water views. If you’re there on a Saturday night, wander down the corso to funky bar Daniel San for a boogie.

THE BOATHOUSE, BALMORAL

The Boathouse is an institution in Sydney’s affluent suburb Mosman, so you’ll be hard-pressed to get a table here on a sunny summer weekend. Enjoy the fresh seafood platter or the decadent burger for a weekend lunch, or head down on a Sunday afternoon with your girlfriends to share a bottle of Prosecco and a cheese platter. Located right on Balmoral Beach, it’s also the perfect place to grab a coffee after a swim.

THE GROUNDS OF ALEXANDRIA

The Grounds is one of Sydney’s most vibrant eateries, with a roastery, bakery, garden of fresh herbs and veggies (and the establishment’s famous piggie friend, Kevin Bacon), a café and Potting Shed, which is open into the evening and is perfect for after-work drinks. With a wholesome and incredibly fresh menu, enjoy a long breakfast or lunch there then check out the awesome outlet stores nearby.

THE WINERY, SURRY HILLS

The Winery is a fantastic spot to go with your girlfriends for cocktails, and is only a stone’s throw away from the city if you decide to head out afterwards. They offer a girl’s picnic for $45 per head or a Bottomless Bellinis option for $70, which includes 3 courses and 3 hours of drinks, so book a table for your next girl’s Easter/Christmas/birthday lunch.

ICEBERGS, BONDI BEACH

Everyone who’s anyone seems to have taken an Insta pic at Icebergs, so if you haven’t been there yet it’s probably time you do! With sweeping views of Bondi Beach and the famous Icebergs pool below, share a bottle of rose and a seafood platter and don’t forget to upload it to Instagram…#lavish

THE APOLLO, POTTS POINT

Arguably the best Greek restaurant in Sydney, this trendy spot in Sydney’s east has a relaxed vibe that is perfect for a group dinner. Be sure to order the “Full Greek” and enjoy the oven baked lamb shoulder and saganaki cheese…#todiefor.
